In August 2010, The Blazing Donkey marked the proud occasion of its 1000th wedding by inviting all our wedding couples to a lavish garden party. We have been very lucky to have forged many friendships with couples over the last 15 wonderful years of hosting weddings and so were particularly touched to have met again the many couples who were married at The Blazing Donkey during the 90’s and “noughties”, some of whom arrived with their new families! The Blazing Donkey was the first venue in Kent to be awarded a license to host outdoor civil marriages in the early nineties. We couldn’t have possibly envisaged just how the “marrying public” would take us to their hearts. As a result though, our special place has been the scene for so many happy occasions and has now firmly established itself as one of county’s most popular venue’s for weddings.

“The first step to arranging your marriage is the ceremony; to book the venue, date and of course the time. It is important to remember that certain days of the year are very popular here and therefore the earlier the booking is made the better. While Saturday’s have traditionally been the most popular days for weddings we are finding more and more couples are now choosing Fridays, Sundays and even week days to ensure that all their friends and family can be there.

When your wedding is booked with us at The Blazing Donkey, the Kent Registration Service guarantee that the ceremony can take place here on that day and at the time you choose. You may book as far in advance of your marriage day as you wish. Celebrating your marriage at The Blazing Donkey will mean that the ceremony, reception, entertainment and family events can all be held here. With no travelling from one place to another you can relax with your friends and family and really enjoy your special day.
